Baseball 2010

3 more MLB parks visited in our quest to visit all the parks over the next few years.

Took a trip to OH and PA and picked up a few parks.
Notes:
- Cleveland had the best view of the City incorporated into the stadium and the best downtown by the park.
- Pittsburgh had the best "all you can eat" selection...we won't be doing it anymore, though. We want to sample the BEST the park has to offer, not the WORST....the hot dogs looked (and tasted) like they were made a week or 2 ago in all 3 stadiums.
- Pittsburgh had the best pre-game jumbo-tron show
- Cincy seemed to have the better sound system

All 3 parks were clean with great views and very friendly folks both watching the games and those working.

CLEVELAND:

After a few beers, he was fine. His girlfriend didn't cut him much slack.

Oakland beat the Tribe.

PITTSBURGH:
Friends Geordie and Kelly joined us in Pittsburgh.
We started with a local favorite.
PNC is a bank.


The Pirates beat the Cardinals.

CINCINNATI:
Great American is another Insurance company.




The Reds beat the Brewers.

Getting into shape for PA

Been doing as much bike riding as possible to get ready for the 4 days of riding coming up this week in PA.
Been out every other day for the past 2-3 weeks. Today was 3.5 hr. jaunt around parts of the Green Circle Trail in Stevens Point, WI. It's really a nice ride with every changing scenery and trail conditions.
Even got in some single track riding in a rogue piece called "the island".
There a number of loops off the main trail, this one called the West Loop, was on donated land.

Last of Hawaii

Got my Olympus Stylus 790 back from the shop a couple pics on it that I couldn't down load till I got it back.

Downed a case of these while there. Not too bad, a blonde lager style beer.


On the beach where we had the surfing lessons, getting ready to set-sail.
The blown out sandals, had to buy a new pair before we left. Lynn wouldn't let me fly home in these, although they were perfectly good after applying the duct tape!

Hawaii Day 6

Got up at 6:30 for my 7:30 surfing lesson. Bad news was my camera failed due to water in it. All the doors were closed. Not good.
No surfing pics.
I didn't do as well as I thought I should do. Got up ok most of the time, even though my arms were pretty well shot from pushing the mtb bike yesterday for 3 hrs.

The bad part was that there were too many people on the "bunny waves". There was a lot of surfers slamming into each other, but it was still a neat experience. I thought about going back out on my own after the lesson, but was just too tired.

Had my iphone so took pics during the day with it. We cruised around the southwest side of the island and stopped at a beach just to hang out. Blew out my sandals the day before and had to duct tape them up.
Then we stopped at a fruit stand for some iced coconut juice and watched the owner slice up a coconut for the juice and meat inside and also slice up a pineapple.



Nice work, ladies!

Early in the evening we got on a sailboat with another couple for a sunset sail. There is room for 18, but only 4 had signed up. The women from the other couple grew up in a small eastern WI town, Freedom, 20 miles from Appleton, where we lived for awhile.
It was an easy chocie....Scotch Mist.
