The Shooting of Dan McGrew

Back in Denali, we went to a dinner theater. In the theater part of the evening, they re-created a skit in tribute to Robert W. Service, who wrote a number of poems/stories of the north land.

I remember somewhere reading about the Cremation of Sam McGee, maybe in Boy Scouts.

The poem they re-created, though, was The Shooting of Dan McGrew.
The reason I even mention this at all is that I was picked out of the audience to participate in the skit.
I was to play the part of "the man from the creeks" that killed Dan McGrew.

And I did!!

While the man from the creeks lay clutched to the breast of the lady that's known as Lou.
