Skagway to Ketchikan

All of the great scenes of mountains, glaciers and waterfalls were obscured by the low clouds and fog. We did pass within 50-75 yards of a pod of whales feeding, but that was it.

We had reserved a 2 bunk berth with private bath and it was small, but still very adequate. Spent 1 night on the ferry.

Made a late night stop in Petersburg, then an early morning stop in Wrangell.
We got off and went into a small gallery/fishing guide shop ran buy a husband and wife team. He takes folks out fishing and she does watercolor. Both Lynn and I liked her work. She takes nautical charts and waterpaints over a section. We selected 2 prints, one that has "Lynn Canal" on it with a sailboat, as Lynn Canal is the passage we had taken up and back from Juneau to Skagway and a 2nd of a kayaker in front of a glacier....hummm, wonder why.....
They were priced very reasonable.

Got to read a bunch....even one of Lynn's "novels" on the way from Wrangell to Ketchikan.

If I could have changed one thing on our trip, staying overnight in Wrangell would be it. Only small cruise ships stop here and then not many of them.
